Playing Caribbean stud online is relatively simple and as long as you are fully conversant with the ranking of hands in poker, there is little else you need to know as the game is programmed to simply pay you the correct amount when you win and take your bets when you lose. However, there are some tips that will help you to make more informed decisions on whether to call or fold and what to bet and when.
The first tip is to be sensible with your betting strategy and not to make rash bets based on a presumed winning streak. Remember you are playing against a computer with a random number generator which determines which hands are dealt and when. This means you can be dealt a run of winning hands and just as easily be dealt a losing hand next.
Always fold if you have lower than ace-king high as there is a greater chance the dealer will have a qualifying hand.
Always call if you hold a pair or better as you have an increased chance of beating the dealer.
Remember that the call bet is double the amount of the ante bet. If you do not want to wager too much money on one game, be sure to make your ante bet a reasonable amount.
Unless you are simply playing an odd dollar here and there for the fun of it, avoid the side bet for the progressive as a serious bet as the odds are really stacked against you.
If you’re playing for the long haul, stick with the same bet always. Suddenly increasing your bet following a run of bad hands is no guarantee of winning back what you’ve lost all in one go as you have just as much chance of losing that hand as well.
