Online bingo is one of the more recent games to appear in online casinos and its popularity has certainly sky rocketed in the last couple of years. Much of this has to do with the already huge popularity with the game in real world bingo halls with the added bonus of its simplicity of play in the online version. Add to all that a real fun element and you can see why online bingo is such a sure fire winner amongst players.

Online bingo is usually played at quite a rapid pace and with one to four cards in the case of casino bingo games, or much larger multiples of cards for dedicated bingo sites where a large group of people are all playing the same game.

With casino games, you can choose to change one or more cards if you prefer before each game starts. Each card is printed with a set of numbers and the game automatically draws a number of balls at random. If the numbers drawn match the numbers on your card in certain configurations, you win! You don’t have to worry about keeping tabs on the balls that are drawn as the game automatically marks off any matches on your card(s) for you and calculates your winnings depending upon the amount you bet.

With dedicated bingo sites, once you have bought your cards, these are the ones you will play with, although you do not have to be physically present when the game is played as your cards are automatically marked off for you and if you win you are notified by email. Some people prefer this way of playing as it more closely emulates the way bingo is played in the bingo halls, with many people all playing for the same prizes.
